If I was to pick a way to describe Grum’s sound to someone, I’d have to say : Smooth-Retro Sounding-Electro-Synthy-Ital Disco-Funk.

This British export (via Scotland) has been pushing is stylistic sound for a little bit now. The 23 year old elegantly makes his Ital-Disco sound, fused with loads of synths (apparently gated is his favourite), heard around the world. He’s gathering many comparisons to Mylo (which isn’t a bad thing at all). Hopefully he can live up to the expectations that everyone is putting before him (so far, I’d say he’s even surpassing them!).

Currently on tour, I can’t wait to see him when he makes his stop in Toronto on April 30th 2010 at The Mod Club.
