Kid Tronic & The Virgin

Virgin Airlines has began to fly out of Toronto’s Pearson International Airport and thankfully I’m one of the group of people who won a free flight (got to pay the taxes though) through Twitter.

Virgin Airlines hooked up with Klout to determine who in Toronto met their criteria to receive the free flights. Klout basically groups your tweets into different categories and is able to determine specific information about you from their results.
As well Megan & Greg from Klout came to Toronto to conduct a Klout tweetup with some of the winners and others who were interested in how the system works. It was great to meet others that you may have had a quick word or two with online but would’ve never met in person.

The next night, Virgin Airlines threw a launch party for the celebrate the airlines’ new destination at the luxurious Thompson Hotel (the infinity pool looks great!). It was a star-studded event with Richard Branson, Stacey Keibler, Eric Roberts, Russell Peters, and others in attendance. To see my pictures, click here

So what am I doing with my free flight? I’m heading to Los Angeles to attend the Hard Music Festival!

I’m excited to go for several reasons:

1. I’ve never been to L.A. and have been wanting to go for the past few years.

2. A lot of the acts on the bill are some of my favourites.
